AI & Higher
Education.

We're inviting staff at Northumbria University to take part in a study exploring how AI tools are used in practice across teaching, research, and administration. We're keen to hear a full range of views, so whether you're an enthusiastic user, a sceptic, or someone who avoids AI altogether, there's a place for you in this conversation. Hearing from non-users is just as valuable to us as hearing from those who use these tools daily.

Taking part is straightforward. Each day for two weeks, we'll post a prompt here in the anonymous forum, and you can share your thoughts on whichever days and topics you choose. There's no minimum commitment — you can contribute as much or as little as you're comfortable with. Every post is fully anonymous: you're given a randomly generated pseudonym each time, the links between identities and posts are scrambled, and the forum is moderated so that no identifying details appear. No one, including the research team, can trace a post back to you.

What you share will help us understand how HE staff really use AI in their professional practice and will inform future guidance and policy at the University. Participation is entirely voluntary.
